How Karlie Kloss Styles the Same Pair of Jeans Three Different Ways in 24 Hours
It’s all in the accessories.
by Tyler McCall 2015.11.19
Jeans are a staple in every girl’s closet, mega-supermodels included. This week, Karlie Kloss proved that you can get away with wearing the same pair anywhere you need to go — all you need is the right accessories, and a pair of light-wash cropped jeans can go from a shopping trip to a private plane in the same 24 hours.
see all of Karlie’s quick-changes, and get tips on how to change up your look by swapping out just a few key pieces.

First, Karlie went shopping in New York and bundled up in a full-length blazer coat. Black ballet flats and a ladylike bag from Dolce & Gabbana make her jeans feel polished, and aviator lenses add that “model-off-duty” edge.

The next morning, Karlie wore the same jeans out to the gym, this time belted. Even though she’s wearing a blazer style again, it’s totally different: The gray tweed, paired with black sunglasses, is menswear-cool, while the white tee and sneaks keep the whole look casual.

Later that same day, Karlie changes the look up altogether to travel by swapping out just her jacket and her bag. Nothing is more appropriate for a jet-setting model than a classic leather moto jacket. The best part of this look? Her customizable white-perforated leather Proenza Schouler bag, whose “K.K.” initials make this look uniquely Karlie’s.
Roll Up! Natalia Vodianova and Karlie Kloss Host Fun Friends at Their Fabulous Fair

“The wheel of fortune is my favorite one to play—it’s my masterpiece,” said a beaming Natalia Vodianova, the dazzling host of her second London Fashion Week fundraiser. Illuminated by the glow of the wheel, her custom red sequined Calvin Klein minidress dazzled. With last year’s event raising more than 347,000 pounds for her Naked Heart Foundation, the stakes (and the glamour) were high. By 10:30 p.m. the total was already at 600,000 pounds.
Old Billingsgate Market in London was transformed with carnival lights as guests including Jourdan Dunn, Charli XCX, Lily Donaldson, and Nicholas Hoult scampered around in black-tie trying their luck with Suzy Menkes donkey derby or hooking a duck (and winning a Repossi heart ring in the process—as Justin O’Shea did for his girlfriend, Veronika Heilbrunner). “London is such a fun city, and the idea of the fund fair is so universal for children, and we were all children once. So if we have fun tonight, we can bring more fun to children in need,” said Vodianova, before her son Lucas pulled her away to play miniature golf.
Karlie Kloss quit as a Victoria’s Secret Angel because she was bored of being so clean cut.
The 23-year-old star confirmed she was stepping down from the luxury brand early in 2015, and later in the year she enrolled at New York University. She’s also an avid coder and has her own YouTube channel, with the model revealing it’s vital that she stay true to her real personality in public.
“I don’t want to be too clean cut, and I don’t want to be what people think I should be or expect me to be,” she told Britain’s Elle magazine. “I didn’t necessarily feel like I was being entirely true to myself being in my underwear all the time.”
That doesn’t mean the star will suddenly start spouting off objectionable opinions though - in fact, arguing is one of the things she hates most in life.
“I definitely don’t like negative confrontation. I’m not great at arguing,” she explained. “I’m not good at getting into fights. I always lose and it makes me really uncomfortable. But I guess real, true relationships and friendships come with ups and downs so it’s about figuring out how to work with that. Sometimes those ups and downs bring you closer.”
Karlie is part of one of the most famous friendship circles around at the moment - that of Taylor Swift. The pair have regularly gushed about each other in public and are often seen together, but their bond isn’t just for show.
“If you have one person in your life that you connect with then you’re lucky,” Karlie said. “If you have a group of friends that you have that connection with then you’re especially lucky, and if you have people in your family you feel that way about then you’ve really won the game.”
This Karlie Kloss Speech Will Make You Feel Empowered
ELLE’s cover star inspires us AGAIN
By Lena De Casparis Posted 25 Thu February
This week our March cover star Karlie Kloss took home the award for ‘Inspiring Woman Of The Year’. And while receiving the award she did something very special. She made a speech, which made the whole room at the Tate Britain feel, well really very empowered.
Here’s what she said;
‘I am humbled to be here tonight because of what this award means. I see it as something much bigger than me as I am constantly inspired by the brilliant, beautiful women I encounter every day, everywhere. They each have their own powerful, unique stories that contribute to our vibrant world.
I want to take a moment to speak to those women, I want you to know that THIS - passion, curiosity - is the most stylish and beautiful part of us. Be courageous, be curious. Be you.
Thank you again ELLE for this award and for reminding us that a woman’s intellect never goes out of style.’
Name: Karlie Kloss Age: 25 Nationality: American Height:5’11’’ (wrong Vogue, she’s 6′2″) VS shows to date: 4
Karlie Kloss was the first model to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel the same year of her debut for the annual Fashion Show, in 2011. She’s making her return to the VS runway this year, after briefly parting from the brand in 2015 to attend New York University. A successful entrepreneur, Kloss manages a number of projects on the side: She has created a line of vegan, gluten-free cookies with Momofuku Milk Bar, dubbed Karlie’s Kookies; has launched Kode with Klossy, a scholarship programme for girls interested in learning how to code; and her YouTube channel, Klossy, founded in 2015, has more than half a million subscribers.
The Chicago-born supermodel was discovered, aged 13, at a charity fashion show organised in a mall in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2006, after seeing her pictures in a local magazine, Elite Model Management New York decided to offer her a contract. Shortly after, Kloss got her first big job – a campaign by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie Kids, and, in 2008, she had her real breakthrough, booking 64 shows. A veteran of the catwalk, her characteristic walk has been described by Vogue as “the most alluring and slinkiest on the runway”.
In 2009, Kloss was chosen as the face of Marc Jacobs’s new fragrance, Lola, and over the years she has appeared in campaigns for Gap, Topshop, Alexander McQueen, Bulgari, Dior and Hermès. Her fame extends well beyond fashion: She made a cameo as herself in cult teen-drama Gossip Girl in 2010; has hosted the red carpet at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards pre-show; and, more recently, has made an appearance in friend Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video and on the stage of her 1989 World Tour.
What’s Karlie Kloss’s workout regime?
Kloss grew up studying ballet, which helped her gain control of her body rhythm and muscles “the most valuable thing” she could have done to prepare herself for modelling. She tries to work out every day, combining different exercises including pilates, spinning and running. Her food obsessions include kale chips, almond butter, avocado and dark chocolate.
